Definition: Chiefly choreographed number in which a very short independent story is being told through dance. Dance can be pantomimic.
Example: “This Heart of Mine” (Ziegfeld Follies) - “Slaughter On Tenth Avenue” (Words and Music) - “Girl Hunt” (Band Wagon) - “Miss Turnstiles” (On The Town)
