Definition: Combination of "medley" and "montage": juxtaposition of short autonomous fragments (so as for music and image to coincide). Number based on a twofold assemblage, both in space and time, as well as in music.

Example: Singin’ In The Rain: coming of sound montage - “You’d Be surprised” and “Let’s Have Another Cup Of Coffee” (There’s No Business) - “Sunny-Who” (Till the Clouds Roll By) - Easter Parade: medley showing Astaire and Garland’s rise to the top of vaudeville
